Certification & Labeling Programs   

There are two main Nationally Recognized Energy Efficiency Programs

» RESNET's HERS Certification

 
» EPA's Energy Star for Homes Certification

Each program is Nationally Recognized and is based on the HERS index. Both programs compare the energy performance of a home to others in the market and include the projected utility costs.

A qualified Energy Star New Home receives an Energy Star Certificate and Energy Star Label.

A qualified RESNET HERS Rated Home receives a HERS Certificate and (*upon request) a Builder Branded Label.
